Diplomová práce s názvem Péče o klienty chráněného bydlení v seniorském věku a v době umírání zjišťuje, zda jsou chráněná bydlení v Plzeňském kraji schopna nabídnout klientům, kteří dosáhnou seniorského věku, pomoc a podporu až do vysokého stáří a v době umírání. Cílem této péče by mělo být, aby klienti chráněného bydlení nebyli omezeni věkem, po jehož dosažení by museli měnit v tak citlivém a náročném období jejich důvěrně známé prostředí a nemuseli odejít do sociální služby jiného typu či do zdravotnického zařízení. Pokud chráněná bydlení tuto péči z různých důvodů neposkytují, jsou tyto překážky identifikovány a jsou hledány možné způsoby řešení, která by měla pomoci chráněným bydlení tuto formu péče zavést do své praxe.

The thesis Care of clients of sheltered housing in the senior age and at the time of dying finds out whether there are some sheltered housing in the Pilsen region which are able to offer their care and support to the clients even in senior age and at the time of dying. The aim is to provide a support without any age limitation and give certainty to clients to stay where they are accustomed to live when they became old. Otherwise the would have to leave their familiar environment in such a sensitive and tough time and go into an unknown different type of care or into a nursing home. If there are no sheltered housing with this type of senior care, obstacles will be identified and it will be looked for possible solutions which should help to put into practice this type of care.
