Guidelines

Metodologicky tato práce vyjde z nedávných, ale přesto již existujících intersekčních analýz klíčového románu Kate Chopinové The Awakening - oproti dřívějším převážně feministickým intepretacím se stejnou měrou jako otázkám genderu věnujícím otázkám rasy a společenské třídy. Kriticky je zhodnotí a poté na jejich základě provede obdobný rozbor relevantně vybraných autorčiných povídek.
Předpokládá se tak, že po teoretických úvodních pasážích se jádro práce rozčlení na dvě zásadní kapitoly. Jejich cílem bude ukázat, zdali lze metodu intersekční analýzy aplikovat též na spisovatelčiny předem zvolené povídky, a pokud ano, k jakým poznatkům se na tomto základě dojde. V závěru se pak vezmou v úvahu jak povídky sebrané, tak celkový kontext spisovatelčiny tvorby.
