| Práca si kladie za cieľ predstaviť architektúru chrámových stavieb starovekého Egypta v amarnskom období s ohľadom na vtedajší politický a náboženský vývoj a poukazuje na jednotlivé aspekty vo vývoji chrámovej architektúry pred týmto obdobím, počas neho a tiež na zmeny, ktoré nastali po konci tohto obdobia. Súčasťou práce by malo byť taktiež priblíženie otázky slnečného kultu v tomto období.
