Guidelines

Cieľom bakalárskej práce je predstaviť otázky, ktoré vyvolalo konceptuálne umenie na poli výtvarného umenia. Konceptuálne umenie, v ktorom myšlienka predstavuje najdôležitejší aspekt diela reprezentuje radikálny rozchod s tradičným výtvarným umením. Mojim zámerom je analyzovať, aký vplyv má jeho dematerializovaná forma na jeho estetickú hodnotu a postavenie vo výtvarnom umení. V prvej časti práce popisujem jeho charakteristické vlastnosti, dôraz pritom kladiem na skúmanie jeho ne-estetickej povahy, ktorá mu je prisudzovaná, na nízku prioritu materiálnej formy a na jeho filozofický charakter. Zdrojom sú pre mňa prevažne texty anglo-americkej estetiky, združené v knihe Philosophy and Conceptual Art, editovanej Petrom Goldie a Elisabeth Schellekens. Druhá časť má za cieľ objasniť problematiku definície a hodnoty konceptuálneho umenia. Predstavujem v nej polemiku medzi inštitucionálnou a funkcionálnou definíciou umenia, teóriami, ktoré by mohli vysvetliť umeleckú podstatu konceptuálneho umenia.
