Guidelines
The thesis surveys the use of myth and ritual in T. S. Eliot´s poem “The Waste Land” (1922), and the later criticism concerned with the employment of mythological archetypes in this work. The focus is on the interpretation of central motifs of the poem (ritual sacrifice, death, rebirth, fertility of the land) through the approach of archetypal criticism.
