Guidelines

Diplomová práce se bude zabývat Buddhovým výkladem vzniku společenského uspořádání a s tím souvisejícím novým vymezením některých důležitých pojmů (např. varna, árja, bráhman).
Práce bude vycházet ze srovnání Buddhova popisu rozvrstvení společnosti na základě pálijských kanonických textů s tehdejším varnášramovým systémem odvolávajícím se na védský hymnus o Purušovi (RV X 129) a další texty.
Cílem je zhodnocení vlivu Buddhových snah o myšlenkovou a morální obrodu společnosti.

This thesis will examine the Buddha's explanation of the origin of social organization and the related redefining some important concepts (eg, varna, Arya, Brahman).
The work will be based on a comparison of the Buddha's description of the stratification of society based on the Pali canonical texts with the former varna-ashrama system pointing at Vedic hymn about puruṣo (RV X 129) and other texts.
The objective is to evaluate the impact of the Buddha efforts of thought and moral revival of society.
