| Práce bude analyzovat proměny evropského válčení na přelomu 18. a 19. století na přikladu americké války za nezávislost a revolučních, posléze napoleonských válek, tj hlavních konfliktů, které Británie ve sledovaném období vedla.
Bude se zabývat taktikou, výcvikem a technologií. V rámci těchto témat bude zvláštní důraz kladen na na nejpočetnější složku armády – pěchotu. Analýza se bude opírat o vydané prameny a současnou odbornou literaturu především britské provenience. Vycházet bude ze současného pojetí vojenských dějin. |
