Guidelines

Bakalářská práce se zabývá etnikem Asmat žijícím v indonéské provincii Západní Papua a jeho uměním dřevořezby – zejména totemy předků. Práce popisuje umění Asmatů, jejich předměty denní potřeby i předměty rituální. Vysvětluje symboly na totemech bis a obřady spojené s jejich výrobou. Dále se zabývá lovem lebek a rolí předků v původním náboženství a životě tohoto etnika. V závěru jsou uvedena světová antropologická muzea, ve kterých se nacházejí nejrozsáhlejší sbírky umění Asmatů. Součástí práce je i obrazový materiál.
