Guidelines

Bakalářská práce se zaměří na diskurzní ukazatele typu and everything / and stuff / or something označované v literatuře jako „general extenders“ nebo „vague coordination tags“. Tyto markery jsou typické pro neformální mluvený jazyk. K jejich výzkumu bude proto použit korpus dialogů amerického televizního seriálu Přátelé, jehož jazyk se do značné míry blíží autentické mluvené americké angličtině. Pro popis „general extenders“ využije práce kombinace korpusově založených metod (frekvenční distribuce, kolokace) a detailní kvalitativní analýzy 100 dokladů těchto konstrukcí. Bude podán výčet forem, které se jako „general extenders“ vyskytují, a práce se pokusí o popis některých jejich diskurzních funkcí (interpersonální a zdvořilostní funkce, „approximator“, „hedging“ apod., obvykle kombinace různých funkcí). Práce bude psána anglicky.
