Guidelines

Anotace: Student zpracovává raně buddhistické pojetí kosmologie podle Agaňňasutty, dalších vybraných súter pálijského kánonu a sekundární literatury. Cílem práce je zejména přiblížit buddhistické kosmologické představy a dále s pomocí sekundární literatury poukázat na klíčové obsahové a strukturální prvky Agaňňasutty. Tyto prvky bude autor interpretovat, přičemž vychází z přesvědčení, že Agaňňasutta různými propracovanými způsoby ukazuje výjimečné postavení buddhistických mnichů. Část práce je tedy věnována přinášení argumentů na podporu tohoto přesvědčení. Při interpretaci Agaňňasutty autor nejvíce čerpá z díla Stanleyho Tambiaha World conqueror and world renouncer, přičemž přejímá jeho základní východiska s ohledem na vztah světské moci panovníka a duchovní moci mnichů, ale vyvozuje z nich zcela jiné závěry. Součástí práce je autorův překlad Agaňňasutty uvedený v příloze.
