Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
A Gram-negative Escherichia coli ribosome particle is comprised of 3 different rRNA molecules and 53 proteins. Their synthesis in exponentially growing cultures is coordinated. S10 operon codes for 11 of 53 ribosomal proteins. The expression of ribosomal proteins clustered in S10 operon is regulated autogenously at the level of translation, as is common with other E. coli ribosomal protein operons, where one of the proteins in the operon has both structural and regulatory functions, but also at the level of transcription by way of premature transcription termination ? attenuation.
