Preliminary scope of work

Cílem diplomové práce je zmapování proudu v současné historiografii dějin umění, jenž zasazuje své uměleckohistorické analýzy do myšlenkového rámce poststrukturalismu. Bude se tedy zabývat jak metodologickým východiskem, obsaženým především ve filosofických pracích Jacquese Derridy, tak konkrétními počiny současných historiků umění (Keith Moxey, Donald Preziosi, James Elkins etc.) a jejich individuálním zapracováním podnětů poststrukturalistické filosofie.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of the master thesis is the outline of the current in the contemporary art history, embedding its art historian analysis in the poststructuralist framework. We will thus discuss both the methodological base, especcially included in the work of the philosopher Jacques Derrida, and the concrete enterprises of the contemporary art historians (Keith Moxey, Donald Preziosi, James Elkins etc.) and their individual rendering of postructuralist suggestions.
