Guidelines
Embodied virtual agents are important representatives in Human-Machine communication. The goal of this master thesis is to develop plan-based [1], affective, behaviourally complex embodied virtual agents [2] for GALA [3] scenario.

Two virtual agents will be engaged in dialogs [4] to believably comment on a tennis match in realtime. The game is given as an annotated video [5].

Commercial avatars [6] will be used, the challenge is how to control these avatars via XML commands. Several modules will be developed as a part of this thesis, e.g.: Tennis simulator, Knowledge module, Discourse planner, Emotion module, Java Interface to control avatars.
