Preliminary scope of work

Práce bude využívat stabilní izotopy (N, C) k popisu struktury potravní sítě horní části Vltavy nad Lipenskou přehradou. Budou provedeny analýzy jednotlivých organických látek, bentosu, rostlin a ryb nasbíraných na různých místech nad přehradou. Cílem práce je zhodnotit zdroje potravy a jejich využití v systému, kde původní říční ryby i ryby migrující z přehrad sdílejí společné zdroje potravy. Práce bude kombinací literární rešerše a vyhodnocení dat.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The work will use stable isotopes (N, C), to describe the food-web structure of upper part of the river Vltava above the Lipno dam. Analyses will be made of particular organic matter, benthos, plants and fish collected at various sites above the dam. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate food sources and their utilization in a system where both native riverine fishes and fishes migrating from the dams share common food resources. The thesis would be composed by a combination of literature review and data evaluation.
