Preliminary scope of work
Student navazuje na bakalářskou práci a bude zpracovávat fosilní materiál ze zástupců rodu Mammuthus uložený ve sbírkách muzeí Ústeckého kraje. Pro srovnání zahrne revize i několik málo vzorků z CHMHZ a Národního muzea. Materiál bude zpracován po morfologické, anatomické a systematické stránce Cílem práce je vědecky zpřístupnit materiál v regionálních muzeích, který je často neznámý pro nedostatek specialistů působících v mimopražských regionech. Poznámka: V případě úspěšnosti získání GAUK projektu bude revize doplněna i o analýzu poměrů izotopů stroncia 87Sr/86Sr, jako základ budoucího rozsáhlejšího vyhodnocení migrací mamutů.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The student builds on the bachelor's thesis and will process fossil material from representatives of the genus Mammuthus stored in the collections of the museums of the Ústí nad Labem Region. For comparison, the revision will also include a few samples from CHMHZ and the National Museum. The material will be processed morphologically, anatomically and systematically. The aim of the work is to make scientifically accessible the material in regional museums, which is often unknown due to the lack of specialists working in regions outside of Prague.
