Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
The glutamatergic neurotransmission between the retinohypothalamic tract and the suprachiasmatic nucleus is responsible for synchronising the circadian system with external lighting conditions. The aim of this work will be to describe all aspects of this information transfer, from the regulation of receptor composition through mechanisms modulating the induced signalling cascade to the transcriptional activation of target genes in the SCN.
