Preliminary scope of work

Cílem doktorského projektu je odhalit strategie, které využívají zelené řasy k překonání extrémních podmínek panujících v biologických půdních krustách a v prostředí sněhu. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnovaná stresu způsobenému vymrzáním a vysycháním a také limitaci živinami (zejména fosforem).

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of the Ph.D. project is to unveil strategies used by green algae to cope with harsh conditions and thrive in biological soil crust (BSC) and snow environment with special respect to cryo- and desiccation stresses as well as nutrient limitation (especially phosphorus).
