Preliminary scope of work

Metabolie je typ pohybu specifický pro eugleny. Dodnes se však přesně neví, jaký je mechanismus tohoto pohybu, a které proteiny u něj sehrávají klíčovou úlohu. Tato práce testuje hypotézu, že v metabolii sehrávají roli proteiny centriny, jež jsou v některých součástí kontraktilních struktur. Cílem je tyto proteiny v Euglena gracilis chrakterizovat a určit jejich úlohu v metabolii.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Metaboly is a type of movement specific to euglenas. To date, however, it is not known exactly what the mechanism of this movement is and which proteins play a key role in it. This thesis tests a hypothesis, whether centrins are involved in the metaboly. Centrins are proteins which are part of contractile strucutres in some protists. The aim is to characterize centrins in Euglena gracilis and adress their role in metaboly.
