| Gruslys, Leader a Tan ukázali, že každou konečnou podmnožinou celočíselné mřížky Z^d lze vydláždit dostatečně-rozměrnou mřížku Z^n. Odhady na potřebnou dimenzi
jsou ale obrovské. Pro určité speciální typy dlaždic jsou známá dláždění i v méně rozměrech. Zajímavým a dosud nedořešeným případem jsou už jednorozměrné dlaždice - podmnožiny Z. Úkolem bude pokusit se rozšířit známé výsledky a nalézt dláždění mřížek nízké dimenze dalšími typy dlaždic. Gruslys, Leader a Tan showed that every finite subset of the integer lattice Z^d tiles a lattice Z^n of a sufficiently large dimension. The estimated dimension is rather huge. For some special type of tiles, tilings in fewer dimensions are known. The case of one-dimensional tiles - subsets of Z - is already interesting and far from solved. The goal of the thesis will be extending the known results and finding tilings of low-dimensional lattices by more types of tiles. |
