| Euklidovská ramseyovská teorie se zabývá otázkami následujícího typu: je zadána konfigurace T sestávající z konečně mnoha bodů v
rovině nebo v R^d; například množina vrcholů trojúhelníka nebo čtverce. Lze pak v každém obarvení prostoru R^n pomocí k barev najít jednobarevnou kopii T? Student si nastuduje vybrané články z oblasti a pokusí se vyřešit některý z otevřených problémů, např. pro speciální typy obarvení. Eulidean Ramsey theory is concerned with questions of the following type: a configuration T consisting of finitely many points in the plane or in R^d is given; for example, the set of vertices of a triangle or a square. Given n>=d and k, does every coloring of R^n with k colors contain a monochromatic copy of T? The student will read selected papers from the area and try to solve some of the open problems, for example for special types of colorings. |
