Guidelines
In modern cloud environments many types of applications coexist on clusters of machines with different hardware configurations. This creates a unique execution environment for each running application instance. As different types of applications can have different quality of service (QoS) requirements, there is a need to ensure that the conditions in which the instances run allow them to meet their respective QoS requirements.

The goal of the thesis is to design a framework for optimization of the deployment of cloud applications according to multiple QoS parameters (such as response time and throughput). The framework will work as a proof-of-concept, and its main purpose is to test the specific approach to managing the application deployment in cloud environment [1]. The framework should be able to collect data about the efficiency of the deployment optimization (i.e. the performance of the deployed instances with respect to the chosen QoS parameters). Part of the thesis is the evaluation of the results of such measurements and thus evaluation of the effectiveness of the chosen approach.
