Guidelines |
1. Seznámit se se základními pracemi o modelování materiálů s tvarovou pamětí.
2. Nastudovat techniku numerického řešení periodické oblasti s použitím rychlé Fourierovy transformace. 3. |

Preliminary scope of work |
Preliminary scope of work in English |
Martensitic phase transformation is important for two effects that occur in the shape memory alloys (SMA): the shape memory effect and pseudoelasticity. SMA can exist in different phases and it can transform from one phase to other and vice versa. During the phase transformation, interfaces are created and a part of the energy is stored in them. Such behavior can be well described by the phase-field model for martensitic transformation. The numerical implementation of this model requires large computational costs using the standard finite element method. The aim of this work is to implement a phase-field model with an efficient technique using the Fast Fourier transform which is suitable for the numerical solution of the problem with periodic media. The abilities, especially a speed of the implementation will be then tested on a chosen problem. |
