The goal of the thesis will be to enhance our knowledge on origin of parasitic Ripiphoridae and their phylogenetical relationships with other families within Tenebrionoidea. The thesis will be focused both on extant and fossil taxa, with aim to answering some key questions about lifestyle in members of different clades and their possible co-evolution with their hosts. The main aim is filling the gaps concerning our knowledge on morphological adaptations both in imagines and larvae, and describing a new taxa to uncover past and present diversity in more detail.
