Práce zkoumá historii, přínos a kritiky Teorie víceúrovňové selekce. Ta je jedním z možných řešení problému jednotky a úrovně selekce. Jsou popsány debaty týkající se tohoto problému. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována sporům ohledně fenoménu skupinové selekce.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Diploma thesis examines history, benefits and criticism of Multilevel selection theory. This theory is one from many possíble solutionsfor the problem of unit and level of selection. Related debates are discussed. Special attention is dedicated to disagreement about Group selection theory fenomena.
