Těžištěm práce bude esej Rogera Scrutona Photography and Representation, v níž Scruton odmítá pojetí fotografie jako reprezentace, a tudíž i možnost, že by fotografie mohla být reprezentační formou umění. Scrutonův skeptický pohled na fotografii se stal nepřijatelný pro některé myslitele, kteří se v reakci na něj snažili dokázat, že fotografie je svébytným druhem reprezentace. Naším cílem bude nejen zanalyzovat argumenty obou pozic, ale také se na jejich základě pokusit najít odpověď na otázku, zdali existují fotografické reprezentace. |
