Práca sa bude zaoberať využitím bezpilotných lietadiel v rámci Americkej bezpečnostnej politky. Bude analyzovať históriu bezpilotného letectva, ich vojenské využitie, efektívnosť v porovnaní s nákladmi na ich výskum a výrobu. Ďalej sa bude zaoberať hlavnými prekážkami a problémami, s ktorými sa ich zavedenie stretáva. To zahrňuje právne otázky, otázku civilných obetí, rolu médií, prieskumy verejnej mienkya a technické, strategické a operačné otázky.Predpoklad je, že zavádzanie stále autonómnejších systémov do vojny radikálne zmení štruktúru americkej armády a následne aj postupy a stratégie. Práca bude obsahovať aj prípadové štúdie piatich krajín kde sa tieto technológie využívajú. Práca využitím teórie o revolúcii vo vojenských záležitostiach predpokladá záver, že tieto bezpilotné lietadlá predstavujú najväčšiu revolúciu v dejinách a zmeny, ktoré spôsobuje siahajú ďalej ako len po vojenské záležitosti. Ovplyvňuje totiž základné princípy pochopenia vojny v súvislosti s konceptami étosu bojovníka a spravodlivej vojny
Preliminary scope of work in English
The research paper will deal with the use of unmanned aircraft within the American national security policy. It will examine the history of unmanned aviation, its military use, cost-efficiency. It will also examine the main obstacles and problems this technology meets. These involves legal issues, the issue of civilian casualties, the role of the media and public opinion polls, problems of technical, strategic and operational issues. Paper hope to come to the conclusion that the introduction of more autonomous systems to war will radically change its structure and, consequently, standard procedures and strategies. Paper will include case studies of fiive countries that are targeted by UAVs. The research using the theory of the revolution in military affairs will conclude that UAVs pose the greatest challenge in history and it goes well beyond the military matters as it affect the understanding of the basic principles of war in relation to the concepts of warrior ethos and just war.
