Preliminary scope of work |
OY Gem patří do skupiny B[e] hvězd. Tyto spektrální charakteristiky mohou vykazovat různé typy hvězd - veleobři (sgB[e]), Herbigovy hvězdy před hlavní posloupností (HAeB[e]), kompaktní planetární mlhoviny (cPNB[e]) a symbiotické hvězdy (SymB[e]). |
Preliminary scope of work in English |
OY Gem belongs to the stars with the B[e] phenomenon. These objects are B-type stars in which spectra the forbidden emission lines are presented. These spectral characteristics can be presented in different objects - supergiants (sgB[e]), pre-main sequence stars (HAeB[e]), compact planetary nebulae (cPNB[e]) and symbiotic stars (SymB[e]). B[e] stars are surrounded by circumstellar matter. Due to this reason, there is very difficult to observe the stellar photospheric lines, which are used for the determination of stellar parameters. Therefore most of the B[e] stars remain still unclassified. The study of long-term spectral variations is one of the possibilities for the evaluation of the properties of central objects. OY Gem is probably a proto-planetary nebula. The detailed spectral analysis of the time variations can be very useful not only for the study of a nature of the B[e] phenomenon, but also for tests of theoretical evolutionary tracts. There is also a possibility to extend this observational project into the theoretical modelling. |
