Guidelines

Tato práce si klade za cíl bližší prozkoumání analýzy sociálních situací ve vzahu k typu kosmologických představ, kterou v konečné podobě předložila Mary Douglas ve svém eseji „Cultural Bias“ (1978), zejména její vztažení k výskytu idiomu čarodějnictví v určité společnosti, kterou antropoložka prezentovala již dříve v 7. kapitole své slavné knihy Natural Symbols: Exploration in Cosmology (1970). Strukturální přístup, který je postaven na badatelkou stanovených parametrech „skupiny“ a „sítě“, bude porovnán s jinými pohledy na čarodějnictví (a kouzelnictví) v dějinách kulturní a sociální antropologie. Hlavní náplní práce by měla být aplikace badatelčniny hypotézy na konkrétní etnografický materiál z afrického prostředí ve snaze o nalezení korelace nebo naopak diskrepance, tj. o verifikaci či naopak falzifikaci této teorie.
