Bakalářská práce „Osobnost Ted Turner“ pojednává o životě amerického mediálního magnáta Teda Turnera a jeho působení v mediální oblasti. Stručně popisuje jeho život před vstupem do oblasti masmédií a jeho začátky v této oblasti. Detailněji je rozpracována část týkající se budování Turnerova mediálního impéria - spuštění prvního kabelového vysílání, vybudování zpravodajské televizní stanice CNN, vývoj Superstation a neúspěšná fúze Time Warner a AOL. Popsáno je také další Turnerovo podnikání. Nelze opomenout i skutečnost, že Turner je jedním z největších filantropů dnešní doby a největším soukromým vlastníkem půdy v USA.

Thesis „Personality of Ted Turner“ deals with the life of American media mogul Ted Turner and his work in media. Briefly describes his life before entering the mass media and its beginnings in this area. Is elaborated in detail on the part of Turner’s media empire–building – the first cable run, building a television news station CNN, Superstation development and unsuccessful merger of Time Warner and AOL. Described is also another Turner enteprise. You can not overlook the fact that Turner is one of the greatest philantropists of our time and the largest private landowner in the U.S.
