Guidelines

Tato disertační práce se pokouší reflektovat teorii spravedlnosti Johna Rawsle zejména z pohledu křest’anské etiky. Po prezentaci
života a díla jednoho z nejvýznamnějších politických filosofů 20. století se autor této práce zaměřuje na základní teze výše
zmíněné teorie: reflektivní rovnováhu, Kantovu tradici a Hegelův vliv na myšlení Johna Rawlse, které vedlo ke konečné
formulaci teorie spravedlnosti jako férovosti. Tato část má současně za cíl prezentovat s jakou filosofickou antropologií John
Rawls pracuje.
V další části se probírají vybraná témata teorie, tak speciální pro reflexi v kontextu křest’anské sociální etiky. Mezi tyto patří
reflexe liberální tradice a její vztah k církvi, problematika kontraktualismu, koncept obecného blaha (bonum commune), a vztah
principu různosti (difference principle) k významné křest’anské tradici preference pro chudé.
Ve třetí části se prezentuje kritika teorie spravedlnosti, která se skládá zejména z komunitaristických reflexí Michaela Sandela
a Michale Walzera. Dále se prezentuje aktuální kritika Rawlsovy teorie z díla Amartya Sena, který se zdá být zcela
novým impulsem v této vědecké diskusi. V poslední řadě se prezentují myšlenky jednoho z nejvýznamnějších křest’anských myslitelů 20. století, Paula Ricoeura, týkající se reflexe teorie spravedlnosti Johna Rawlse. Tato optimistická reflexe může být vodítkem pro další analýzu Rawlsových děl ze strany křest’anské etiky. Na konci práce se uvádí také recepce teorie spravedlnosti v podání různých teologů.

Preliminary scope of work

Nynější práce se pokusí prezentovat významnost teorie spravedlnosti Johna Rawlse z pohledu křesťanské etiky, poukazujíc na některé vybrané aspekty této teorie. Základ pro tuto reflexi dává mimo jiné fakt, že teorie spravedlnosti Johna Rawlse se opakovaně cituje při prezentaci s principy sociální nauky církve. V některých bodech vykazují podobnost, zase v jiných částech jí zase oponuje.

Dále John Rawls formuluje svojí formální teorii způsobem, aby byla její akceptace možná pro všechny racionální lidi. Do této skupiny zapadají také lidé s náboženskými a morálními představami, nebo jak je jmenuje samotný John Rawls, lidé s komprehenzivními naukami. Opodstatněnost zkoumání teorie spravedlnosti přitom ospravedlňuje také fakt, že Rawls připisuje nemalou úlohu ve zmíněné teorii také náboženským myšlenkám.

Za třetí, v osobě Johna Rawlse je možné spatřit jednoho ze zastánců a předních představitelů liberální tradice. Liberalismus je kvůli své nejasné definovatelnosti, ale přitom reálné přítomnosti ve společnosti a v myšlení lidí nemalou výzvou pro církev a náboženské představy, se kterou se již dvě století pokouší vypořádat.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This work tries to present the importance of the theory of justice of John Rawls from the point of view of Christian ethics, pointing out selected aspect of this theory. The basis for this reflection gives the fact, that the theory of justice of John Rawls is repeatedly cited in the presentations of the principles of Catholic social teaching. In some points they show similarities, in others are in opposition.

Furthermore, John Rawls formulates his formal theory in a way to make it acceptable for every rational human being. In this group are also included persons with religious and moral ideas, or how John Rawls call them himself: people with comprehensive doctrines. The rationale to examine the theory of justice is justified also by the fact that Rawls ascribes not ignorable function in the aforementioned theory to religious ideas.

Thirdly, in the case of John Rawls is possible to see one of the advocates and fore-representative of the liberal tradition. Liberalism is, because of its ambiguous definition but simultanously real presence in the society and thinking of people, not ignorable challenge for the Church and religious ideas, with which she already tries for two hundred years to tackle.
