Guidelines
Analyze the requirements for deploying heterogeneous component-based applications
in a network domain consisting of multiple execution nodes as defined in the OMG
specification for deployment and configuration of component-based applications.
Develop a tool for planning deployment of such applications with respect to constraints
imposed by application requirements and provisions of the computational nodes. Besides
manual assignment of individual components to nodes in the domain, the tool should also
support automatic or semi-automatic generation of a valid deployment plan which does not
violate the constraints. For improved usability, the user interface should also support
visualization of the structure of the application, the assignment of components to nodes,
and the structure of the domain using multiple task-specific views.
