Student/ka se zaměří na využití organických molekul získaných z obnovitelných zdrojů (například z biomasy) v organické syntéze. Naplň práce bude orientována na funkcionalizaci a strukturální úpravy molekuly cyrenu a derivátů na bázi furanu. Tento přístup povede k novým strukturním motivům odvozeným z nefosilních zdrojů, které mohou nalézt uplatnění v farmaceutickém průmyslu. Práce bude součástí našeho probíhajícího výzkumného programu financovaného z prostředků InterregCE.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The student will focus on the use of organic molecules derived from renewable resources (such as biomass) in organic synthesis. The project will center on the functionalization and structural modification of the molecule cyrene and furan-based derivatives. This approach aims to generate new structural motifs originating from non-fossil sources, with potential applications in the pharmaceutical industry. The work will form part of our ongoing research program funded by InterregCE.
