| Navzdory pokroku v oblasti bezpečnosti práce a zdravotní péče zůstává nadměrná úmrtnost mužů v produktivním věku problémem. Identifikace určujících faktorů a zkoumání trendů může nabídnout cenné poznatky o hlavních příčinách a možných intervencích. S rostoucím porozuměním socioekonomickým a zdravotním faktorům ovlivňujícím úmrtnost mužů v produktivním věku je cílem této diplomové práce identifikovat hlavní rozdíly v úmrtnosti na úrovni příčin úmrtí v rámci této demografické skupiny ve vybraných zemích Evropy, kvantifikovat a prozkoumat rozdíly v determinantech ovlivňujících hodnoty úmrtnosti, které přispívají k pozorovaným vzorcům. Získané výsledky budou sloužit jako základ pro návrhy cílených intervencí zaměřených na snížení nadměrné úmrtnosti. Analýza bude provedena s využitím věkově standardizovaných měr úmrtnosti, ukazatelů tabulek života a také prostřednictvím aplikace dekompozičních metod. Řešení práce bude vycházet především z údajů Eurostatu, statistických úřadů dotčených zemí a specializovaných databází (Human Mortality Database, WHO Mortality Database, European Health for All Database a dalších). |

| Despite progress in work safety and healthcare, excess mortality among working-age males remains a concern. Identifying the determinants and examining the trends can offer valuable insights into the root causes and potential interventions. With an increasing understanding of the socio-economic and health factors influencing mortality of males at working age, this thesis aims to identify the major differences in mortality at the causes of death level within this demographic group in selected countries of Europe, quantify and examine the differences in determinants impacting the mortality rates values contributing to the observed patterns. The results obtained will serve as the base of the proposals for targeted interventions aiming at the reduction of excess mortality. The analysis will be carried out using age-standardised mortality rates, life table indicators and also through the application of decomposition methods. The solution of the thesis will be based mainly on data from Eurostat, statistical offices of the countries concerned and specialized databases (Human Mortality Database, WHO Mortality Database, European Health for All Database and others). |
