Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
Lincosamides are antibiotics that have been used for many years for the treatment of infections caused mainly by gram-positive bacteria, especially in the case of penicillin resistance. The emergence of resistance to various types of antibiotics, including lincosamides, is becoming a worldwide problem, and it is important to find new ways to overcome these resistances. The aim of this thesis is to give a comprehensive overview of the mechanisms of resistance to lincosamid antibiotics and the possibilities or attempts to overcome these resistances. The next part of the thesis will outline the process of biotransformation of these substances both in target microorganisms and in mammalian model organisms.
