| Práce si klade za cíl nejprve shrnout problematiku užití pojmu synkretismus, o jehož validitě se v religionistice dlouhodobě debatuje. Následně krátce představí manichejské náboženství s přihlédnutím především k jeho vzniku, prvkům, které se dlouhodobě označují za cizí a kontaktům s jinými náboženskými tradicemi. Na závěr se pokusí přenést poznatky z obecné části do kontextu manicheismu a přispět tak k probíhající debatě, která zpochybňuje tradici označovat toto náboženství za synkretické. |
