| Ve svém minimalistickém článku „Is Justified True Belief Knowledge?“ (1963) napadnul Edmund Gettier klasickou definici poznání jako pravdivého zdůvodněného přesvědčení dvěma protipříklady, jež se později nazývají „gettierovské“. Úkolem práce je nejprve Gettierův problém představit a zároveň shrnout reprezentativní příspěvky do debaty, která k němu proběhla. Výsledně by měl autor formulovat vlastní stanovisko k němu (je argument validní? pokud ne, co je jeho slabá stránka, pokud ano, jak lze odpovědět jeho největším kritikům?) Současně se autor může zaměřit na Brandomův návrh, který čte Gettierovo úvahu nikoli jako podnět k sociální redefinici poznání jako tzv. „hybridního deontického statusu“ (viz Articulating Reasons, kap. 3). |
