Preliminary scope of work
Motolice a jejich hostitelé soutěží o metabolity, představující převážně dostupný zdroj energie. Již jen z toho lze usuzovat na významnou změnu metabolismu hostitele napadeného motolicí. Předmětem bakalářské práce bude literární rešerše sumarizující nízkomolekulární látky tkání a tělních tekutin hostitelů vybraných druhů schistosom (Schistosoma mansoni, Schistosoma japonicum a Schistosoma haematobium). Práce poskytne přehled látek, u kterých byla na základě dostupných informací pozorována nebo navržena souvislost změny jejich koncentrace s infekcí. Součástí práce bude také přehled metod analytické chemie využívaných v metabolomice.
Preliminary scope of work in English
Trematodes and their hosts compete for metabolites, which represent predominant available source of energy. Based on this alone, a change in the metabolism of the trematode-infected host can be inferred. The subject of the bachelor thesis will be a literature review summarizing low molecular weight substances of host tissues and body fluids of selected species of schistosomes (Schistosoma mansoni, Schistosoma japonicum and Schistosoma haematobium). The work will provide an overview of substances for which, based on available information, the relationship between changes in their concentrations and infections has been observed or proposed. The work will also include an overview of analytical chemistry methods used in metabolomics.
