Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce je prostudovat interakci vybraných steroidních látek s různými typy kainátových receptorů. Funkce receptorů stimulovaných agonisty bude měřena metodou terčíkového zámku (patch-clamp). Účinky steroidů budou sledovány podle změn odpovědí na agonisty (velikost odpovědi, časový průběh, napěťová závislost).

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this project is to study interaction of selected steroid compounds with different subtypes of kainate receptors. The activity of agonist stimulated receptors will be measured by the patch-clamp technique. The interaction of steroid compounds with receptors will be quantified according to the changes in responses to agonists induced by steroids (response amplitude, time course, voltage dependence).
