Preliminary scope of work

Hypotermie zpomaluje nebo zcela zastavuje destruktivní procesy vyvolané ischemií a následnou reperfúzí tkáně, patří mezi ně nadměrná produkce volných radikálů (ROS), excitotoxicita, apoptóza a další. Cílem diplomové práce bude stanovení exprese proteinu vybraných antioxidantů v levé komoře potkanů po akutní expozici chladu (3 dny) a u potkanů adaptovaných na chlad po dobu 5 týdnů pomocí western blotingu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Hypothermia atenuates or entirely stops destructive processes induced by ischemia-reperfusion injury. It decrases formation of excessive production of free radicals (ROS), reduce excitotoxicity and probability of apoptosis and others. The aim of this thesis is the determination of expresion of selected antioxidants in the left ventricle of rats after acute exposure to cold (3 days) and rats adapted to cold for 5 weeks using western blotting.
