Práce se zabývá rolí soudů v americké společnosti v souvislosti s rostoucí akceptací sexuálních menšin většinovými heterosexuály v posledních cca 22 letech. Práva sexuálních menšin, často označovaných jako LGBT, jsou analogicky přirovnávána k boji černých Američanů za svá práva.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This paper deals with the role courts play in the American society with relation to growing acceptance of sexual minorities by heterosexuals who constitute the majority. The time frame is set to cover approximately the last 22 years. Rights of sexual minorities, often marked by the acronym LGBT, are analogously compared with the struggle for civil rights of African Americans.
