Preliminary scope of work
Hlavní cíle práce:
1. Popsat vnitrodruhový a mezidruhový polymorfismus u TLR4, TLR5 a u šesti neutrálních autozomálních markerů u 20 druhů sýkor
2. Identifikovat působení pozitivní selekce v TLR4 a TLR5 genech
3. Identifikovat pozitivně selektované pozice, které mohou ovlivňovat vazebné vlastnosti TLRs
4. Prozkoumat mezidruhový polymorfismus (TSP) v TLR4 a TLR5 genech a odlišit jej od dalších mechanismů, které vedou ke sdílenému polymorfismu
5. Detekovat genový tok a introgresi
Preliminary scope of work in English
The main aims of the thesis:
1. To describe intra- and interspecific polymorphism in TLR4, TLR5 and in six neutral autosomal markers in 20 tit species
2. To identify signature of positive selection in TLR4 and TLR5 genes
3. To identify positively selected residues which may affect binding properties of the TLRs
4. To investigate trans-species polymorphism (TSP) in TLR4 and TLR5 genes and to distinguish it from other mechanisms leading to shared polymorphism
5. To detect gene flow and introgression
