| Bakalářská práce shrnuje teoretické poznatky týkající se problematiky
svalové dystrofie, klasifikace, diagnostických postupů, léčby a rehabilitace. Zde jsou uvedeny bližší informace k pletencové formě svalové dystrofie. Pletencová forma svalové dystrofie je souhrnný název pro různorodou skupinu svalových dystrofií postihující zejména svalstvo v oblasti pánve a ramen. Existuje více než 20 podtypů tohoto onemocnění – každý způsoben změnou různých genů. Protože kauzální terapie stále chybí, pacienti musí spoléhat na symptomatickou léčbu, ve které pravidelná (celoživotní) rehabilitace hraje důležitou roli. Protože většina pletencových forem svalové dystrofie je způsobena defektem strukturálních proteinů dystrofin asociovaných proteinů, je rehabilitace oprávěně na stejném teoretickém základě jako u Duchenneovy či Beckerovy formy svalové dystrofie. |
| Preliminary scope of work in English |
| The Bachalor thesis summarizes the theoretical knowledge concerning
problems of muscular dystrophy, its classification, diagnostic procedures, treatment and physiotherapy. There is more information about limb girdle muscular dystropy in this work. Limb girdle muscular dystrophy is the common name for a diverse group of muscular dystrophies affecting mainly the pelvic and shoulder regions. There are more than 20 different subtypes - each caused by alterations to different genes. Because effective therapies are still lacking, the patients have to rely on symptomatic treatment in which continuous (lifelong) physiotherapy plays an important role. Because many of the LGMDs are caused by defects in structural proteins in the dystrophin associated protein, a similar rehabilitation as in Duchenne/Becker muscular dystrophy is on theoretical grounds probably justified. |
