| Témou diplomovej práce je „Komparácia zahraničnej pomoci USA a Číny s koncentráciou na
región Latinskej Ameriky“. Hlavným cieľom tejto práce je poukázať na rozdiely a spojitosti v motivácii oboch krajín poskytovať rozvojovú pomoc v Latinskej Amerike. Táto práca pomocou kvalitatívnej komparatívnej analýzy overuje platnosť dvoch hypotéz. Prvá hypotéza je: Obe krajiny síce poskytujú pomoc na rozvoj regiónu Latinskej Ameriky, avšak každá to robí s iným zámerom - kým sa USA snaží o rozvoj najmä z dôvodov strategicko-bezpečnostných, Čína je motivovaná najmä ekonomickými faktormi. Druhá hypotéza znie: Čína neohrozuje dominantné postavenie USA v regióne. |

| The topic of this thesis is ‟Comparison of foreign aid of USA and China with the concentration on the region of Latin America”. This work aims to point out the similarities and differences between the two countries and their motivation to provide foreign aid to Latin-American countries. Through the qualitative comparison I would like to prove/disprove two hypothesis: 1) Both countries provide foreign aid to develop the region of Latin America, however, both have different motivation – while for USA the strategic-security is the most important motivation, for China it is economy. 2) China does not endanger the dominance of United States in the region. |
