Preliminary scope of work

Autorka sa v diplomovej práci pokúsi nájsť príčinu neúspechu proti povstaleckých operácií v Afganistane a zistiť teda odpoveď na otázku prečo sú Afganci úspešní v asymetrických konfliktoch. Na príklade dvoch intervencií vedených rozličnými aktérmi v rozličnej dobe (Sovietska invázia 1979-1989 a Americká resp. západných spojencov 2001-súčasnosť) sa autorka pokúsi prísť na to, či sa vyskytlo niečo v proti povstaleckom úsilí týchto mocností čo zapríčinilo ich určité zlyhanie v plnení vytýčených cieľov.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The author attempts to find out why the counterinsurgency strategy in Afghanistan tends to fail and answer the question why are the Afghans so successful in asymmetrical conflicts. On the example of two interventions led by different actors and in different time periods (Soviet invasion 1979-1989 vs. American / Western allies 2001-present)the author will try to analyse what caused lack of success in those interventions in fight against the Afghan insurgents.
