Guidelines

Perryho expedice v letech 1853-1854 a otevření Japonska světu znamenalo základní mezník v novověkých dějinách Japonska. Autorka práce bude sledovat dva hlavní cíle – v první řadě půjde o to, prezentovat a analyzovat proces změn v Japonsku po roce 1854 v oblasti politické, ekonomické, vojenské, atd. Druhým a stejně významným cílem bude hodnocení vývoje vztahů Japonska k nejvýznamnějším státům Západu – USA, Velké Británii, Francii, atd. včetně jejich ovlivňování vnitřního vývoje Japonska, jenž vedl k pádu tokugawského šógunátu, restauraci a reformám údobí Meidži, které determinovaly vznik moderního japonského státu.
