Cílem navrhované diplomové práce je testování prenatálního vlivu steroidních hormonů a bazálních hladin v dospělosti na míru sexuální apetence a vzrušivosti a variabilitu vývoje druhotných pohlavních znaků.Práce vychází z předpokladu, že interindividuální rozdíly v prenatálních hladinách steroidních hormonů budou mít vliv na některé aspekty sexuální psychologie a zároveň i morfologickou variabilitu druhotných pohlavních znaků. Práce bude realizována ve spolupráci s gynekologickými ordinacemi, kde budou dobrovolnice (N=100) požádány o vyplnění sady dotazníků ohledně jejich sexuální apetence, míry vzrušivosti a sexuálních zkušeností (např. The Female Sexual Functioning Index) a zároveň lékař zhodnotí morfologickou variabilitu pomocí somatoskopické škály vytvořené pro tyto účely. Prenatální expozice testosteronu bude hodnocena pomocí široce používaného markeru (2D:4D) a dospělé hladiny testosteronu, estrogenu a progesteronu budou vyšetřeny ze slin ve spolupráci s Endokrinologickým ústavem.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of the proposed thesis is to test the effect of prenatal exposure to steroid hormones and their basal levels in adulthood on variation in sexual desire, arousability and development of secondary sexual characteristics. The work is based on the assumption that individual differences in prenatal levels of steroid hormones affect some aspects of sexual psychology as well as the morphological variability of secondary sexual characteristics. The data will be collected in collaboration with gynecological clinics, where the volunteers (N = 100) will be asked to complete a set of questionnaires regarding their sexual desire, arousability and sexual experience ( e.g. The Female Sexual Functioning Index). The physician will examine the morphological variability using somatoscopicall scale developed for the purposes of the study. Prenatal exposure to testosterone will be evaluated using the 2D : 4D marker and adult levels of testosterone, estrogen and progesterone will be investigated from saliva samples in cooperation with Institute of Endocrinology.
