| Detailní studium (metodou HIRES) komplexně zpracovávaných profilů z mediteránní oblasti (Puerto Escaño) a ze Západních Karpat; vápnitý nanoplankton vybraných lokalit české křídové pánve.
1. Studium biometrické variability společenstev vápnitého nanoplanktonu a kalpionel s aplikacemi v taxonomii, biostratigrafii a paleoekologii 2. Biostratigrafie (definice biostratigrafických událostí, využití kvantitativní biostratigrafie) s cílem specifikovat eventy pro určení hranice jura-křída, korelace na magnetostratigrafii 3. Paleoekologické a paleooceánologické interpretace se zaměřením na definici eventů ve vývoji planktonních ekosystémů |

| Detailed study (HIRES) of multiproxy analysed sections from the Mediterranean area and from the Western Carpathians; calcareous nannoplankton of the selected localities in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin.
1. Biometrical anaylsis of calcareous nannoplankton and calpionellids assemblages applied in taxonomy, biostratigraphy and palaeoecology 2. Biostratigraphical interpretations based on definition of bioevents, quantitative biostratigraphy with focus on Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary, correlation with magnetostratigraphy data 3. Paleoecological and paleoceanographical interpretations, determination of events in the evolution of planktonic ecosystem |
