Cieľom práce je analýza záujmov Kanady v oblasti Arktídy v priamej súvislosti s jej nárokmi na štatút Severozápadnej cesty ako vnútroštátnych vôd. V bakalárskej práci bude preskúmané aktuálne postavenie Severozápadnej cesty v medzinárodnom a kanadskom prostredí a práve, nároky na postavenie vnútroštátnych vôd zo strany Kanady a postoje nesúhlasných štátov. Výsledkom bude odpoveď na otázku legálnosti nárokov Kanady na postavenie Severozápadnej cesty ako vnútroštátnych vôd a predstavenie možných riešení.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of the thesis is to analyze the interests of Canada in the Arctic in direct relation to its claim to the Northwest Passage as internal waters. This work reviews the current status of the Northwest Passage, the Canadian efforts to claim the Passage as internal waters, and also the attitudes of states, which do not agree with the claim. The result is the answer to the question of legality of Canada's claims to the status of the Northwest Passage as internal waters and presentation of solutions resulting from the current situation.
