Guidelines
The aim of the thesis is a discussion of visual representations of Sikh religious symbols in Canadian public life, and the ensuing controversies. The issue will be brought into a broader cultural and historical context, as well as in the context of canadian multiculturalism. The analysis of the controversy will based on articles published in canadian media and on selected secondary sources addressing the notion of multiculturalism in Canada.
