Guidelines

Práce se zabývá spoluprací Sebastiana Lucianiho (zv. del Piombo) s Raffaelem v Římě, kam Benátčan přijel na pozvání Agostina Chigiho roku 1511. Ihned při první zakázce na výzdobu vily Farnesiny se setkává s Raffaelem, přičemž rivalita mezi nimi trvala i poté, co Sebastiano vilu opustil. Hlavní část tedy rozebírá Sebastianovu a Raffaelovu výzdobu v Sala di Galatea (osm fresek s náměty z Ovidiových Proměn, Polyfém a Triumf Galateie), dále je rozebrán vztah těchto dvou umělců, ke kterým nelze nepřiřadit Michelangela, s nímž Sebastiano dlouhou dobu udržoval přátelský vztah. Poslední část se věnuje jediné Sebastianově malbě z českých sbírek - Madoně s rouškou.
